The survey season may be drawing to a close for bats, nesting birds, Water Voles etc., but while we still have some warm days, when it is not raining, there is still time to enjoy some of natures wonders. Butterflies and moths always add colour to the Autumn leaves and berries. The Ichneumon species of wasp lays its eggs in caterpillars and in true Alien film style, the young burst out of the caterpillar.
All initial surveys can still be carried out, but unfortunately bat surveys, Nesting bird surveys and Water Vole surveys will have to wait until next May. If you require advice, do not hesitate to ring me on 07807 655237.
