What a month October has been so far with warm spells where the insects have been very busy like these Common Wasps mating to flooding such as this flooded meadow at Stanwick Lakes. The Swallows have gone and the migrant birds are now coming in from the Blackbirds to the Fieldfares. Survey work can still be undertaken this time of year, so if you need any doing give us a call.
